Louise is a student at Trinity College">
Louise is a student at Trinity College,
Oxford University, reading Spanish and Portuguese. The academic year of
1999-2000 was her "year abroad", when she was obliged to spend one year in a
Spanish or Portuguese speaking country in order to perfect her use of the languages.
Louise chose to spend the first half of the year studying in Santiago, Chile and the latter half studying in
Salvador de Bahia, Brazil. Back from her travels, more wise
and more worldly, she is suffering the consequences of her hedonism.
Although her finals are imminent, Louise seems quite relaxed ...perhaps too much
so. Let's all wish her luck!!! Looking into the future, Louise
is currently applying for summer internships, in order to confirm her choice of
career - which is as precarious as ever. The decision has been made that
once again, Louise will be banished to the other side of the globe (although
this time closer to home) in order to Mandarin at Tsinghua
University, Beijing. Once again, good luck!! (This seems to be a
recurring theme) |
